Faithful consistency will produce incredible results! This is true in any area of your life – school, craft projects, DIY undertakings, work, cooking, etc. If you will faithfully and consistently give it your very best, you will see incredible results!
Honor God
Everything we as Christian do must honor God. Whether we are in a crowd or by ourselves. With fellow believers or non-believers. We must develop thick skin and strength of character and commit to evaluating everything in life through God’s eyes.
If this is a new thought to you, perhaps consider someone you respect in life. Someone you look up to and consider a quality person. If they were with you, what would they think of what you are pursuing or how you are behaving? Would you feel embarrassed if they found out? Maybe this is a pastor, a grandparent or simply a treasured family friend. What we do in life matters and it is essential to behave as Christians. That will mean picking and choosing which activities and situations we pursue differently than the average person.
The Bible says that God honors those who honor Him. When you seek to honor Him in everything you do, you can be certain that your faithful consistency will produce incredible results!
You Can’t Give Up
It might be a no-brainer, but you simply can’t give up. Some things – many things, in fact – take time – a lot of it! But as Christians, we need to develop a strength of character. Stick-to-it-ive-ness is essential in living the Christian life.
Imperturbability is the result of not getting flustered or exasperated when things don’t come together in a timely manner. This imperturbability is essential for a Christian to develop. Even when you get tired, when things don’t seem to be coming together and you are about done with the whole thing. As the saying goes, When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.
Think of our founding fathers and the incredible commitment and drive they had to sail across the ocean, to found towns in an undeveloped country, to uproot their entire lifestyle for the vision of the ability to worship God freely!
When I consider only the hint of what I know they went through, it makes my trials seem less intimidating! It gives me a new strength, a new resolve and determination to better fulfill the role God has given me! Not because it is easy or all sunshine and roses, but because I can be certain than when I honor Him, faithful consistency will produce incredible results!
Have Patience
Ahh, patience. A challenge we all face in common! I get it because I too definitely struggle with being impatient, but why is it such a universal challenge?
Did you know that Scripture says that God is never late or early? He always, faithfully, consistently, reliably delivers not a moment late or a second early. So why is patience such a struggle? Perhaps we are too focused on getting done rather than developing character and serving God and others through the process.
What if we shifted our expectations to how this in between could be used to better represent God, to bless and serve those around us and be a light for Him? Not that we give up on the end result in the least. But maybe if we gave more of ourself in the journey, surrendered our expectations completely to God, it would ease the challenge in the waiting.
Being faithfully consistent will, after all, produce incredible results! Nobody knows just what those results will be, but if we wholeheartedly honor God and lean into where He has us, we can be certain that they are for our very best!
