I don’t know about you, but I am always excited to learn about new beauty products to try!
Used to be, one of my favorite spots to shop was Ulta or Sephora – they just had so many pretty makeup and beauty options! But lately with work and all I haven’t had the chance to pop in. I definitely like the idea of those stores – beauty, color, creativity – but more recently, not the crowd they’ve been attracting. (And the last email I received from both places seemed to be pushing gender nonsense, so I’ll just shop elsewhere.)
When it comes to many things, if I think they warrant the cost, I’m willing to spend a bit more. Same is true of beauty products. If I’m looking for cheap, I can go to a drugstore and buy a variety of cheap items. But if I want quality, then I have to be willing to pay more for less.
Londontown
Londontown is a line of polishes and nail care that is pretty and good for your nails – the best of both worlds. Their products range from sheer, restorative polishes called nail veils to vibrant, fun nail polishes. This is truly the first nail polish I have used and thought it actually improved my nails!
One of my sisters shared this brand with me and I confess I was highly skeptical. I have tried many products to help my nails grow and stop peeling with no success. One day, another one of my sisters was ordering herself some and got one especially for me (aren’t sisters the best?!). I tried it and liked it quite well.
Then I went and read about the nail veils that Londontown sells and how they are supposed to heal and improve your nails, so I ordered myself some. I don’t know when the change occurred, but my nails aren’t pealing and breaking like they were – I’m so encouraged!
On top of that – and this one is big to me – I always heard that you had to wait to see benefits from nail products until your nails had grown entirely out. Let me tell you, I had only been using Londontown a precious short amount of time (two or three weeks, maybe) before I started noticing a difference. And this is really remarkable as I work at a coffee shop six days a week so I work with my hands a lot and am rather hard on them!
The Nail Veil is a sheer coat of polish to add subtle color and perfect your nails. I found it fascinating, that though the polish is sheer, it doesn’t streak like most sheer nail polishes do!
