For my birthday this year my sister bought me a subscription to Victoria Magazine and I am thoroughly enjoying it! It is lovely, tasteful and full of pretty pictures and nice stories.
My mother used to subscribe to it when I was quite young and I remember her really enjoying it. I’m not sure that I quite appreciated it then, but I certainly do now!
Decorating
One of the most delightful things about Victoria magazine is their photographs of how people decorate their houses! It would seem that a mixture of antique with modern items is popular right now and I can see why! It is lovely!
From the wall colors to the decor, the nic nacs to the furniture styles, I look at the beautiful pictures and dream of a house of my own someday. How I might blend new with old in a tasteful and inviting way!
Flowers
Ooh the flowers in Victoria magazine! They are beautiful and they make me dream of having my own flower beds around my pretty house someday! I guess that is one thing that I really like about the magazine, it reminds me of little dreams in my heart. Dreams of a home, of sitting on a porch enjoying a nice little breeze, filling a home with love and beauty.
But let’s get back to the beauty of flowers. Last edition, they were referencing a peony farm up north. Peonies are some of my favorite flowers and I would love to visit a place like that someday!
Beautiful Photographs
Victoria Magazine is full of beautiful photographs. Beauty inspires me, it brings me joy, and always points me back to our Creator. God has created a world full of so much beauty and I love the reminder to pause to see and appreciate it!
No matter who you are or where you are, I believe there is beauty to be found in life. I enjoy learning new areas to discover beauty, it inspires me to look even more closely for it in my own life!
