We must never lose hope! No situation, no matter how grim or frightening is too big for God. If we give up, then we have given up on God.
Now this doesn’t mean that we aren’t human and don’t get down. God created us as humans and He doesn’t expect us to be perfect – simply to do our best to be like Him. He wants our hearts, He wants our every thought.
Why Do Some Things Happen?
Many ask and ponder why things happen as if there is some magical answer that will make all things clear. I believe there is a simple answer and it is to draw us closer to God.
In good times we delight and praise God, and in trying times we draw near to God in prayer. I truly believe that the journey of life is simply God wanting to draw us closer in.
So when things look bleak and grim, instead of giving up and being overwhelmed, look to God and His promises. Search the Scriptures, thank Him for His blessings.
And with all this, be sure to rest up. Things always look better in the morning, and resting helps us renew our strength. When circumstances try to overwhelm you, don’t voice your worries. God’s got this and He is forever faithful.
God Never Changes
God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow! The Bible is full of stories throughout the ages of Him leading and making a way for His people.
Don’t fear that He has forgotten you or given up on you. Instead thank Him for His direction and peace. If He isn’t giving you specific direction right now, perhaps He needs you to just go about your immediate duties. Ask that He will make you sensitive to His leading – believe me, He will!
Waiting is one of the most difficult things for me. I am eager for what’s ahead, for the next thing, for answers. But I have found that waiting grows my patience and my faith. And these are evidently two areas I sincerely need to work on!
As I have said, and have heard said many times, all good things take time. Believe me, it will be worth the wait!
Bright Hope for Tomorrow
I truly believe that God has a plan for His people, that He will deliver them from the wicked, and set them securely on high. Not because this is what I read online or see on the news, but rather because it is what the Bible says.
As the hymn goes, He gives us strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. Great is Thy faithfulness Lord unto me.
Never lose hope!
Until Next Time!
Hope.
