“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
This verse literally stopped me in my tracks.
So many projects and plans in the works, and several of them halted due to things outside my control. As frustrating as the inconveniences can be, I do my best to see them as blessings, because they call my attention back to God.
I don’t ever want to come across as idle or not willing to work for things in life. And yet I also don’t want to be a crazy hustler who can never be still and enjoy a quiet moment! (I think I just successfully overthought everything – ha!)
But this verse reminds me that God’s got this. He has all the details, He knows all the plans. I simply have to show up and give Him my best and in His perfect timing He will bring all the pieces together – when the time is right.
This is such an important reminder to me, especially when some things seem slow in coming. Let’s be honest, having patience can be a real struggle!
And yet, if I’ll just not stress and strain, but rather keep my head down and put one foot in front of the other, everything will come together. Not always as fast as I would like, but in His perfect timing!
So let me just encourage you, no matter where you are in life or what you are waiting on. If God has placed a dream in your heart, He will bring it to pass. Get your hopes up and act each day as if that dream were actively coming true! I believe this kind of attitude and enthusiasm brings glory to God. It says to Him, yes, Lord, I believe.
And be sure, when the time is right, He will make it happen!
