Do you ever wonder what is going on behind the scenes? I know I do! Whether it pertains to people or details of a project, I can’t help but be curious!
I read a fascinating story along these lines earlier today, and I want to share it with you!
A professor was on a trip abroad with his class, when he suddenly fell severely ill and was rushed to an emergency clinic. This was not a big clinic and there was no doctor on hand to help the professor.
Back home in the states, the professor’s father couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right for his son. This was before cell phones so there was no means of being in touch to check on him. He finally asked the friends he was with to pray with him for his son.
At 2am the next morning in this little clinic abroad, a highly reputable doctor walked in the door and asked where the American was that needed his help. The staff at the clinic directed him to the professor, not knowing how he knew to come.
The doctor performed a life-saving operation on the professor that morning. As the professor was recovering, the doctor asked him who the men were that had been sent to bring him to the clinic. The professor had no idea.
Back home in America, the professor’s father and his friends didn’t know either. They simply knew that God had placed it on their hearts to pray and that He knew what was going on behind the scenes.
Sometimes it can feel like things do not change. Or perhaps since things are this way, they will only continue to be this way.
But let me fill your heart with hope, with expectancy! God is working behind the scenes. He knows the details and He’s lining everything up for you! Whatever it is, it will be even better than you dreamed! God will abundantly bless His people more than we can ask or think!
I love stories like this – they really encourage me! Last week, I found myself pondering a situation and came to the conclusion there wasn’t anything I could do about it right now. Anything but pray, that is. And I can’t wait to see what is happening behind the scenes!
Until Next Time!
Hope.
