Creative Design

Creative design – the art of taking a personal or business need and making it visually appealing. A step above.

I am a visual person. I appreciate things done beautifully and creatively. Why write a fast and furious note when you can make it a beautifully scripted note?

Awhile back I shared about creating your own unique script: https://www.theamericanlady.com/2018/09/05/mastering-writing/

If you haven’t read it, you definitely should! I share an intriguing idea to “claim” a font style for your own. Doing this can really help you develop a unique writing style!

A kind reader mentioned to me that many of the fonts in the resource I shared previously were not for commercial use. In addition to mentioning this, they also provided a resource for free commercial fonts for me to share with you! A great big thank you to them!

Creative Design for Business

This list of fonts is delightfully organized as well as free for commercial use. I appreciate the thoughts that the author shares on the different fonts. Sometimes another’s point of view is just what we need when making important design decisions!

In addition to sharing this fascinating resource of free commercial fonts, I also want to share a terrific resource for creating beautiful and necessary items for your business!

Whether your business is big or small, solo or part of a larger company, everyone appreciates items that are well designed, right? Creative design recommends a business. Clip art design says cheap and cheesy. Beautiful design says well thought out and tasteful.

Zazzle.

No, I’m not an affiliate (although, I really ought to look into it!) I just really like their products and there service.

Zazzle has an impressive selection of creators and designers. Search anything in their search bar and you are sure to come up with a design similar to what you are wanting. Try keywords such as rustic, elegant, art deco, etc.

Once you’ve located something similar to what you want, you can customize – and in many cases edit – it to truly make it your own. That’s typically where I go for design projects.

After I get the design just right, I like to see what other options I have. For instance, I might start with a business card, but then there are options to transfer the design to a mug or a note card.

The quality of the products is quite nice too! And if you are strategic, you can order your products while they are on steep discounts!

While we’re talking pricing, I should also tell you about Zazzle Black where you pay a flat fee and have free shipping for a year. It pays for itself within two orders! I’ve even upgraded to the slightly more expensive Express version of this so that I can get my items faster. It is worth it to me as I use Zazzle for many, many projects.

I hope these design ideas have given you a boost! Creative design doesn’t come naturally to me, but when I use these resources I feel like a pro!

Do you have any creative design ideas to share? We’d love to hear them! Again, thank you to the reader who shared the free commercial font resource!

Until Next Time!

Hope.
