Years ago, I discovered old time radio shows. Delightful, dramatized tales of mystery and comedy! This discovery led me to my first business of creating CDs of these shows so that people could listen to them in their cars. Since the shows are old, they are now in the public domain and it is legal to copy them.
This was a delightfully fascinating job – especially seeing as it required me to listen to the shows to check their quality. Some recordings were higher quality while others had a terrible hiss or squeal to them.
Along the way, I had the joy of discovering many different shows. Customers were also good to share some of their favorites with me. Even all these years later, you will find the stories cleverly written, enjoyable and fascinating! If you’ve never listened to one now is your chance! I recommend taking a bit of time to listen and enjoy, much like you would a movie. You are sure to become a fan! (I will attach a show below!)
Let George Do It
George Valentine is a professional detective just back from the war. Claire Brooks, a.k.a. Brooksie, is his lovely secretary (and love interest!). Clients write to Valentine’s office after reading his classified ad:
Personal notice: Danger’s my stock in trade. If the job’s too tough for you to handle, you’ve got a job for me, George Valentine. Write full details!
The stories typically offer great one-liners and bit of light-hearted comic relief. Some episodes are down right comical while others are more serious.
Be sure to let me know what you think! I’ll share more of my favorite shows along and along!
Until Next Time!
Hope.
PS. Finding a great radio show can be reminiscent of finding a great tv show. Give this episode a chance – you are sure to enjoy it!
