Grace, Not Perfection is a lovely and encouraging book written by Emily Ley! I’ve been following Emily on Instagram for several years now, admiring her planners and pretty office products and enjoying the lovely things she has to say!

Last year, I was delighted to see that Emily was releasing a book and I eagerly ordered it as soon as it was available! The book itself is lovely! I read somewhere that Emily likes to use “fresh color” and she does a fabulous job with it!
The book is beautifully written – I admire the style and presentation! To be honest, I’m interested in writing a book, and so whenever I see that someone I follow online has written a book, I’m eager to read it! Why are they writing this book? What do they have to say? What is their attitude toward life? And Emily’s book was refreshing and encouraging! Truly an enjoyable read!
In Grace, Not Perfection, Emily reminds readers to give grace, both to themselves and to others. Sometimes we fall into the trap of chasing unrealistic ideals and cause ourselves to feel inadequate, but that’s not right. We have to remember to bloom where we are, to be content and joyful! God will take care of the details!
The book is written with places along and along so that you can answer questions and determine how things that Emily shares might apply to your life. This is quite nice and gives the book another dimension! It is one thing to just read a book, another to read and think about what is written, and yet another when you apply it to your own life! It’s exciting and inspiring!

I love this reminder! God has a plan for each of us – even when those plans don’t follow the plans we might have. His plans are always for our best and they are far and beyond anything we might dream or consider! Do you feel a gentle tug somewhere deep inside? I know I do! God has big plans for each us! Unique, one of a kind plans! And we must be our very best and serve Him remarkably well!
Emily shares kind reminders to live purposefully and not to slip into being too busy. It’s so important to pause and enjoy life and to marvel at the beauty that God has placed around us! I really appreciated the new paradigm that this book gave me, the new perspective! I think you might enjoy it too! It is definitely an excellent book for a lady to read! Both enjoyable and inspiring!
