There’s always room at the top.
There’s no need to be concerned that you’ll just be another person in the world, you can be remarkable and really shine brightly! I love that. I find it so encouraging and inspiring! It seems that it can be applied to most every area of your life. It’s about being your best and holding high standards. And do you know that your commitment to hold a higher standard has the potential to effect all with whom you come in contact?!
You know every area of your life is important right? And you have the opportunity to either do your best or not. The everyday, possibly mundane, things will always be with us. And that is a good, even excellent, thing! What better place to master doing our best than in our everyday lives?! It’s easy to seek to be the best and work hard when it is something that you would choose to do, but can you do it with the things that aren’t your favorite?! It might be doing laundry, dishes or housework – it is all important! Do it spectacularly well!
- Your everyday life – let’s start here as we all have one! This is where we might feel the most real and perhaps the least glamorous. It’s the daily routine, those things that must get done, but one might not choose given the option. How do you handle these things? Raise your standards, do the everyday things exceptionally well! It will bless both you and others!
- Your family – how would you seek to be your best to your family? Definitely do your best, be an encouragement and be available to them. Let them know how much you value them – we all need to know that we are appreciated and valued! Do your duties well and remember to think of others first.
- Your friends – always strive to be an excellent example to your friends! Encourage them to love and enjoy their family. Remember that true friendships go both ways – ideally you are both a blessing and encouragement to each other!
- Your work – whether you work from home or for a company, remember that there is always room at the top for that work! Make it your best! Amaze those around you – go all out! It is so encouraging and inspiring to see people work their hardest and it is so rewarding to know that you yourself have given it your all! No corners were cut and no excuses were given – simply your best!
- Yourself – I thought this deserved special mention! Be your best version of yourself – your most beautiful version of the American Lady. There is no one else who can take your place – realize your potential and your value! In the Bible, Christ summarized the ten commandments into just two: Love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself. Do you see that “your neighbor as yourself” bit – don’t sell yourself short or think little of yourself – you wouldn’t think of your “neighbor” that way, would you? To me, that means that you must love who you are, who God created you to be!
When you hold yourself to a higher standard, it has an exciting way of impacting others around you! They will be inspired to do better, be kinder, work harder. And in turn, they will influence others around them too! You have the potential to bless others if you will be your best! After all, there’s always room at the top!
